New Product Development (NPD) Supervisor – maternity leave position

  • Start ASAP – maternity leave cover until July 2022

 

This exciting fixed term role has come about to fill in for one of our key Innovation / NPD senior team members whilst they are on maternity leave and will commence in April 2021 and will be available for a 15/16 month fixed term period.

 

Leading our Innovation/NPD team, this role will be responsible for the facilitation and development of food innovation and new product development for all of the company brands and supervising the team in their ongoing successful achievement of these tasks. This will also include your leadership of the development of new products and technologies and working on exciting food, taste and brand developments for our National QSR and Major chain customers.

 

Ideally coming with a proven track record gained already from within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:

  • 7+ years of related work experience (Innovation and New Product Development related), with some of this experience in leadership roles
  • Bachelor of Science majoring in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Achievements in innovation through personal leadership, behavioural change programs and structured plans is required.
  • Experience in managing tight budgets and setting manning levels that optimise NPD projects and efficiency.
  • The ability to negotiate, communicate and influence at all levels including engaging your workforce and assisting in achieving win-win outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner and where required attend customer site meetings and work in partnership with cross functional team.
  • Well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with Senior Managers and external bodies;
  • Effective Project, Time Management & Multitasking skills.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong understanding of FSANZ, HACCP, GMP & OH&S.

NSW Sales Account Manager

  • Central Coast / Newcastle Region based

 

Based on continued growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for a new full time, Central Coast / Newcastle Region based Sales Account Manager to join our business.

 

Taking on full, sole responsibility for the territory and markets within the Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Grafton, Foster great lakes, Tamworth, Armidale, Muswellbrook, Singleton & the Hunter Valley areas, we are ideally seeking to hear from applicants with a strong track record in being able to plan / manage their time, work autonomously  and increase sales and distribution gaps in our sales accounts. Some travel to Sydney will be required for meetings / training etc.., on an occasional basis.

 

To be successful in this Sales Account Manager’s role, your current career background should be clearly identifiable towards your ability in (but not limited to):

  • Achieving your annual sales budget targets (sales to budget)
  • Efficiently and effectively managing your sales territory achieving 70% of your time with your end user customers (Clubs, Pubs, Hotels, Cafes, Schools and Aged care, Restaurants etc..) and 30% of time with distributors.
  • Updating the CRM system daily with accurate records of customer calls
  • Gathering of market intelligence & execution of marketing activities

 

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who possess:

  • A proven experience in delivering results in sales. Foodservice or Food industry experience is well regarded and certainly preferred, but not essential. We are looking for an individual that above everything can demonstrate genuine sales ability and an eagerness to learn.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and be both energetic and engaging with a strong commercial focus.
  • Excellent business acumen with an understanding of profit management, business planning, delivering on performance and revenue targets and implementing clear strategies.
  • Excellent organisational skills. Do you have a track record of effectively managing your customer base whilst minimising downtime and non-sales related activities?
  • An interest and ability to embrace innovation and new ways of doing things. You will have at a minimum intermediate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Adoption and usage of technology is a strong focus for our business.
  • The ability to work autonomously, but also work closely within the entire sales team to reach our overall goals.

Production Operator(s) – multiple roles

  • Day and Afternoon shift positions available
  • Multiple casual roles – approx. 6 months duration with full-time potential

 

Based on continued growth, a number of excellent opportunities now exists for dedicated and experienced Production Operators to join our business, and form part of our busy and exciting food manufacturing Operations team. Please note that these are casual positions to commence with, but carry long term full-time employment potential for the right candidates.

 

To therefore be considered for one of these casual opportunities, we are seeking to hear from applicants who possess:

  • Food processing/manufacturing experience highly desirable.
  • Previous experience on a production line or processing environment.
  • Work within a production line using Fillers, Cappers, Cooking/Mixing Equipment, Pumps, Printers, Boilers, Heat Exchangers and High Speed Blenders/Emulsifiers experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, Food Standards Codes, WQA and SQF will be seen as a distinct advantage
  • A track record of reliability & dependability in relation to attendance and work ethic.
  • Be physically fit. Capable of some heavy lifting.
  • Self-motivated and able to operate in a constantly changing and sometimes frustrating environment.
  • An understanding of food manufacturing principles.

 

Remuneration on offer will be market applicable within the Foodservices industry and the successful applicant(s) must be available to work 38 hours per week plus overtime if required. With both day & afternoon shifts available, the hours of employment for these role will either be 7.00am to 3.00pm or 3.00pm to 11.00pm.

 

As the Edlyn site is based in the northern suburbs with no immediate access to public transport close and available, access to your own transport for the daily commute to the site, will also be highly beneficial (with plenty of free on-site parking available). Maintenance Supervisor

 

Based on continued growth, an excellent opportunity now exists for a full time, dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our business, and form part of our busy and exciting food manufacturing Operations team.

 

The purpose of this hands-on Maintenance Supervisor role is to achieve engineering/maintenance targets and implement a preventive maintenance culture providing leadership and guidance in GMP, OHS and cost control. Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, some of the position’s key responsibilities and duties that you will be expected to be fully efficient in will be (but not limited to) :

  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks are executed using the appropriate safety standards and are compliant with Edlyn policies, regulations and SOP’s.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and processes so that all works are completed as efficiently as possible and to the required standards, whilst still getting involved in hands-on maintenance work around the site as required.
  • Performing preventative (inspections and servicing) and scheduled maintenance on company production and mechanical equipment to meet Edlyn requirements.
  • Ensuring operational requirements and standards are being met such as minimum down time and break downs.
  • Review standard maintenance tasks and other relevant documents and to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Undertake special projects from time to time, as identified by the Operations Manager/General Manager.

Ideally coming with a proven track record already gained from a maintenance role within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG manufacturing industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:

  • A recognised and appropriate mechanical trade qualification (i.e. Fitter and Turner).
  • Experience in the operation and/or maintenance of process or heavy industrial equipment within the Food industry.
  • Fillers, Cappers, Cooking/Mixing Equipment, Pumps, Printers, Boilers, Heat Exchangers and High Speed Blenders/Emulsifiers experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a team leader or supervisor role in a maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and OH&S requirements.
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with the ability to liaise with other sections within business, contractors and consultants;
  • High level of organisational skills and ability to prioritise and coordinate a range of tasks to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
  • Well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with Senior Managers and external bodies.
  • Personal grooming and presentation of oneself to be at a high standard.
