Food Technologist / New Product Development

 

With our business & workload rapidly increasing once again, we are recommencing this recruitment campaign in 2021 which was temporarily put on hold due to COVID-19.

 

This role will be responsible for the facilitation and development of food innovation and new product development for all of the company brands including bakery, dessert, beverage, toppings, condiments, culinary and more. This also includes the development of new products and technologies and work on exciting food, taste and brand developments for our National QSR and Major chain customers.

 

Ideally coming with a proven track record gained already from within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:

  • 3+ years experience in a product development role within the food industry
  • Bachelor of Science majoring in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent preferred
  • Proven project management and hands-on experience in the food manufacturing industry in product development or similar role
  • Effective Project & Time Management skills
  • Professional oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • Strong understanding of FSANZ, HACCP, GMP & OH&S

Quality Assurance Officer (Senior)

 

An excellent opportunity now exists for a full time, dedicated and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our business, and form part of our busy and exciting Quality team.

 

Reporting directly to our Quality Assurance Manager (and essentially becoming the 2IC to that role and expected to be the acting Manager at various times throughout the year), some of the position’s key responsibilities and duties that you will be expected to be fully efficient in will be (but not limited to) :

  • Monitoring compliance and facilitating improvements to the SQF/ HACCP / Food Safety program including writing procedures.
  • Formulating the sampling procedures and designs, and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Utilisation of production tracking and quality control systems, analysing production, quality control, maintenance and other operational reports, to detect and resolve production problems.
  • Establish and monitor production standards, examining samples of raw product or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
  • Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organizational charts and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities as they relate to quality.
  • Train and demonstrate to business staff the quality assurance theory practice, processes and procedures at a senior level.

Ideally coming with a proven track record already gained from an in-house Quality role within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG manufacturing industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:

  • Bachelor of Food Science and Technology qualifications.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance gained from career experience specifically within the Food Industry in Australia.
  • Essential experience in SQF, HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, Internal & External Auditing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Food microbiology related food safety and quality.
  • High Energy and highly motivated.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving and decision making.

Food Production – IT System Analyst (Maryborough based)

 

An excellent opportunity now exists for a full time, dedicated and experienced IT System Analyst to join our business, and form part of our growing team based in Maryborough, Central Victoria.

 

As the IT System Analyst with a joint reporting line into the IT Manager (based in Melbourne) and the Maryborough Site Manager, you will be responsible for the for a combination of Server and Network related duties (both Project and Technical Support).

 

As a general guide to what we are seeking – this will be a hands on role, with some of the required functions including (but not limited to):

  • Assisting in the provision of IT services to staff (both over the phone and in person) solving technical problems, managing business expectations, maintaining a high level of service.
  • Implementing computer system requirements by defining and analysing system problems, designing and testing standards and solutions.
  • Under direction, install, maintain and support LAN, WAN, VOIP, VM, Server and storage infrastructure at all sites.
  • Provide support for business critical systems like Exchange, File Server & ERP system.
  • Undertake daily maintenance, reporting and monitoring of IT infrastructure and associated technologies.
  • Advising on procedures and process improvement incorporating IT technologies.
  • Documenting business requirements by creating flowcharts, sequence diagrams and list specifications.
  • Communicating regularly with key Edlyn employees to advise on improved procedures across the business.
  • Working with users, documenting the specifications, analysing data and developing/implementing technology solutions.
  • Writing user guides and training manuals, conduct user training.

 

Ideally coming with a proven track record gained already from a similar IT role within the Foodservice, Beverage or FMCG industries, to be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who therefore possess:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science/IT
  • Proven experience in infrastructure management, network design, IT facilities management, asset management, knowledge management, and financial management.
  • Proven experience with following technologies – Microsoft technologies including HP Server and Storage, Exchange, AD; Palo Alto FW; HP & CISCO Routing & Switching; IIS Server & Webserver maintenance, SSL architecture and configuration,  Office packages and office 365.
  • Prior and proven experience in software design, documentation, testing, and maintenance
  • Strong ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies
  • General consulting skills
  • Software architecture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective communication and people management skills.
  • Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles and legislation.
  • Personal grooming and presentation of oneself to be at a high standard.
