Short Term
(1–3 years)We will continue implementing energy efficiency projects already underway and begin gathering Scope 3 emissions data to strengthen visibility across our value chain.

As a 100% Australian-owned company, we're committed to reducing our environmental impact while delivering high-quality, value-driven products. Grounded in a FY23 baseline, our approach is transparent, data-led, and continuously evolving to include our new business units. As we progress, we plan to share updates on our performance so that our commitments remain visible and accountable.
Our sustainability approach is built around five core pillars that shape every decision we make.
We have developed a detailed carbon reduction roadmap aimed at achieving a 50% reduction in emissions intensity of our current products from Scope 1 and 2 energy related emissions by 2030 (Relative to our FY23 baseline year), without the use of carbon offsets. This roadmap prioritises cost-effective energy efficiency projects.
At Edlyn, sustainability starts with our people. Through our Innovation Nation program, employees across all areas are encouraged to share practical ideas that make a real difference, from reducing waste to improving efficiency and driving new sustainability initiatives.
We also believe in contributing to the communities that support us. By sourcing locally where we can and partnering with responsible suppliers, we help strengthen local economies and build relationships that reflect our values.
Innovation and collaboration sit at the heart of our sustainability approach. We work with research partners, industry networks, and suppliers to find practical ways to reduce waste, optimise resources, and improve materials and processes across our operations. These partnerships help us move faster and tap into expertise we don't have in-house.
We are taking focused steps to reduce waste across our operations. While some initiatives are already in place, we are now beginning a more structured journey and are engaging external experts to help shape a comprehensive waste strategy.
Our packaging strategy aligns with APCO guidelines and focuses on reducing our environmental footprint through better material choices and operational efficiency. We’ve transitioned around two million cordial bottles from HDPE to PET, a lighter material with higher recyclability, and our next step is to incorporate recycled PET content in future production.

Our sustainability roadmap is structured in three phases — guiding short, mid and long-term actions to reduce impact and improve outcomes.
We will continue implementing energy efficiency projects already underway and begin gathering Scope 3 emissions data to strengthen visibility across our value chain.
We plan to pilot electrification initiatives and expand our circularity programs to further reduce waste and improve resource efficiency across operations and packaging.
Over the longer term, we aim to significantly decarbonise our operations and lower the emissions intensity of our products, supported by ongoing investment, collaboration, and transparent reporting.

Edlyn Foods has completed a major energy efficiency upgrade at our Epping, VIC manufacturing site, supported by the Australian Government's Energy Efficiency Grants for SMEs program.
We have installed solar panel systems across three of our sites, including our Epping manufacturing and warehouse sites at Ricky Way and Jersey Drive, and our Maryborough site in regional Victoria.
We are working across multiple product lines to reduce packaging material and improve the recyclability of our products. As a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), our packaging targets
At our Queensland site, we produce stock and stock reductions as part of our product range. When we first acquired the business, production by-products were being sent to a disposal company at a cost.
We are investing in automation across our operations to improve efficiency and reduce our environmental impact. As part of a recent project, we installed a new case packer across 64 SKUs, reducing the total carton
Innovation Nation is our internal innovation program where employees across all areas of the business are encouraged to bring forward new ideas. To date, 74 sustainability related ideas have come through the program.
