Over the past several months, Edlyn’s Innovation team has been working to develop an online platform which can be used to gather insights and new ideas from customers outside the business.
An online portal has been developed, which is accessible through Edlyn’s website where business owners, chefs, distributors, hospitality sector staff and consumers can share their ideas on Edlyn’s products or packaging, we have called this the ‘Edlyn Idea Kitchen’.
The Edlyn Idea Kitchen was launched on the 27th of April and has had a flurry of activity with many new fantastic thoughts and ideas submitted by Edlyn customers. Edlyn’s Innovation Manager Aida Golneshin says “We are very pleased to see our customers taking their time to share their thoughts with us and using the new online tool. We have been researching new ways to put our customers at the heart of our Innovation process, and this new idea tool will help us do that”.
As part of the launch, Edlyn incentivised customers to share their ideas by providing a random monthly award, the customer is awarded a Coles Myer voucher. The first monthly winner was Kim Gleeson, a café supervisor at the Allansford Cheese World Café, located along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria. Kim shared her idea to create an Edlyn chocolate brownie mix, which prompted the Edlyn R&D team to begin work and started to develop a brownie mix using the existing Edlyn mud cake as a base recipe.
Over the past 2 months, the Edlyn Idea Kitchen has provided some great feedback and moving forward will become a valuable tool to funnel fantastic ideas from Edlyn customers.
