Maryborough site manager Windsor Main recently led a group of Year 9 students from Maryborough Education Centre (MEC), along with their Careers Coordinator Wayne Belcher on a 45 minute guided tour of the Edlyn Maryborough manufacturing facility as part of some follow-up work he completed with ‘Go Goldfields’ – a Central Goldfields Shire and local service leaders initiative that aims to educate and equip local children and youths with job-ready skills and knowledge for when they leave school.
Windsor discussed with the students the processes involved to successfully run a foodservice manufacturing organisation such as Edlyn’s, with the ultimate aim to provide the students with industry-based insights into foodservice manufacturing as a career path.
This tour gave the students a fantastic insight into a career within the foodservice manufacturing industry, which will help educate them when deciding on their future career paths.
